The Parkview Music Club, made up of 4th and 5th grade students from Parkview Elementary School in Van Buren, Arkansas, have been creating Music Videos/Short Films for the past 6 years. The purpose of the program is to teach students about the filmmaking process and music production. The pay off is when the children get to see their hard work pay off when their work is released online. During the process they do voice over work; participate in recording sessions for singing; work with professional videographers, make up artists and costumers on set; and learn about green screen technology. Over the years, the program has grown significantly, with increasing parent participation and community involvement. Awards and recognition for the videos have included "Best Fan Film" at the MystiCon Independent Film Festival, "Semi Finalist" at the NanoCon International Film Festival, and screenings at the Berlin Sci-Fi Film Festival and the Miami International Science Fiction Film Festival. Their newest work, "Batman: The Scheme is Sound," is a throwback to the 1966 Batman TV series.
